Harriett's Adventures in Newage Land
Recently, I was in England working on a TV programme for the BBC.
The programme series is called Living with the Enemy.
The programme will be shown on BBC Digital and also
on BBC1 terrestrial, probably in September 1999.
I spent a week living in an alt.med. / spiritual / New Age environment.
During the week I experienced Aromatherapy, Adonai Healing [AKA Psychic
Surgery], Aura Reading, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Gong Music [wonderful!]
Reikei, Sole Reading, Vegetarianism and Zero Balancing.
VERY interesting things happened with my aura, but I cannot tell you
much about it until after the programme airs.
I believe the score will be; Skeptics 1. True Believers 0.
I failed to experience Applied Kiniesology, Acupuncture, Crystal
Healing, Homeopathy, Ley Lines ['May the force be with you!] Past Life
Regression, Rebirthing and Reflexology.
I refused Rebirthing and the rest refused to have anything to do with
me.
I discovered during the week that the Alt. Med. /New Age lifestyle seems
to be based on a permanent state of 'unwellness'.
If you are not obviously unwell now, then you have been unwell in one of
your past lives and this is manifesting itself in your 'aura'; these
people favoured the Ancient Egyptians for past lives.
At one stage I was asked why I couldn't even pretend to be ill so they
would have something to treat!!!
