These are shots of actual raindrops in flight, shot in nature, not in a lab. It turns out it is
incredibly
difficult to shoot raindrops, and these are somewhat preliminary images. I'm still learning...and waiting for rain.

A flattened drop. As the drop size gets bigger,
wind resistance tends to flatten them.
